“A Sunday well-spent brings a week of content.” -Proverb
We completed our long slow run on Saturday. Marcia joined Terri and I for the 9 mile run around our town. We averaged 10 minute miles while enjoying the slightly cooler weather. I think we started out at about 76 degrees with a light breeze.
Sunday – Cross Training – I did 15 minutes of dynamic warm-up exercises and 30 minutes of yoga and stretching.
I am also including hedge trimming in my cross training because my arms and shoulders are fatigued from this nuisance event today. I also had to add in some short sprints whenever the wasps and yellow jackets would come darting out of the bushes. Soooo, I think this qualifies as XT.
“Cooking is like love. It should be entered into with abandon or not at all.” -Harriet Van Horne
Sundays are usually grill days over here. Today was no exception. The hubs and I each wanted to grill something different. Since neither wanted to give in, we grilled both.
Here are my shrimp kabobs with squash, bell pepper, and onion. (not cooked yet)
And grilled veggies and peaches
This is hubs’ “Grill of the Day” (before he grilled them)- Duck breast with cream cheese and jalapeño peppers wrapped in bacon
We had fun grilling together and everything was very tasty. Whatever my meal lacked in fat, his made up for it.
Now, getting ready for the Saints game!
Have a great week!
