Turn of events!

I imagined my first blog being about running, my upcoming race, or current training.

Instead I sit here pondering the latest development in my 40th year of life. The calendar for this year is satiated with dreams, wishes, and adventure and last night I found out I was PREGNANT! (Great but unexpected! Happy but scared!)  Although I’ve tried countless fertility treatments, I don’t have any children. 18 months ago I had my first positive pregnancy test, which led to an ectopic pregnancy. I fear this is another ectopic pregnancy and have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow.

So I felt like running today…running far, long, fast. However, I didn’t run. The wind was ferocious and cold, and I only brought shorts and a tank for running after work thinking that it was going to be at least 80 degrees. After I got home, the hub thought I shouldn’t be running until after I see the doctor. Sigh!

I will keep you posted on this latest occurrence and I will be blogging about running, adventure, and life, so check back!
