It is HOT in Louisiana! We have been running at 6:30am this week and by the end of each run I am drenched. I have been drinking so much water, but it is tough running in this heat!
One thing I like about living in a small country town is that everyone knows you and recognizes you. One thing I hate about living in a small country town is that everyone knows you and recognizes you. 🙂
I like it when I’m running through town or on the highway and people wave or blow the horn. It gives me that little extra push to keep going. Then later in the day if I see them at the grocery store or around town, they tell me that they saw me running and usually seem supportive. If anyone asks why I’m running now at the age of 40, I love to respond with the following quote:
It is never too late to be what you might have been. – George Elliot
Do you think it’s too late to start something new? Think you’re too old? Too slow? Past your prime? NOT so! Start small and keep working. It might take weeks, months, or years, but you can achieve it! Think Big! Triathlon, marathon, starting a new business, writing a book, new job… Go for it!
