“Let the rain kiss you. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops. Let the rain sing you a lullaby.” –Langston Hughes
This morning Tropical Storm Lee stopped long enough for me to run for an hour. After parking my car at my running spot, I looked at my wrist and realized that in my haste to get out the door, I forgot my watch. Oh well, at least I had my mace. I took off and ran one of my usual routes in the strong winds that Lee brought. Only once did I get a little shower of rain, but it quit soon after it started and I kept on going. I DID lose my cap once in the high winds and had to turn around to chase it. Other than that, it was a very uneventful run. Our small town was quiet and not many people were moving about.
The brown patches are areas of dead grass from the drought.
Let the rain come down!
