On a recent trip to New Orleans I was finally able to find the holiday CLIF bar flavors at Whole Foods. They are only available through December and cannot be found at any of the small stores near my country town. I have been keeping an eye out for them since September when they made their début. This year they brought back two of the flavors from last year: Spiced Pumpkin Pie and Iced Gingerbread. Yummy!

The new flavor is Peppermint Stick! I love this one! It reminds me of the white chocolate peppermint candy that my sister makes every year for Christmas. Delicious!

These seasonal flavors still deliver CLIF’s organic ingredients for sustained energy. Another aspect that I like about the CLIF company is 1%of sales from this season’s holiday CLIF flavors will be donated to the Winter Wildlands Alliance.

(I eat a CLIF bar before my long runs or a race.)

Running: Sunday I did one hour of outdoor yoga and a 2-mile bike ride. Monday – I don’t know if it was the long run on Saturday or the hour of yoga that made my legs feel heavy for the 5.5miles tonight. The good thing is the run is complete.
